Samuel W. Baynes is the Founder and Principal of Baynes Investment Counsel, LLC. He also serves as Chairman and CEO of Baynes Capital LLC a premier Private Equity firm based in Dallas, Texas that focuses on energy and oil industry related companies. 

Mr. Baynes has over 40 years of experience in business and finance providing him with a wealth of knowledge that enables him to serve the best interests of investors, clients and stakeholders. 

Prior to forming Baynes Investment Counsel, Mr. Baynes served as a PIA Portfolio Advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management as well as a member of the Merrill Lynch Management Team Advisory Council.  Earlier in his career Mr. Baynes held the position of President and CEO for a Geotechnical design/build firm specializing in engineered private and public projects.
